One Direction, Taylor Swift, Rihanna Lead Billboard Music Awards Nominations
WENNTaylor Swift, Maroon 5 and fun. have landed the most Billboard Music Awards nominations, with One Direction flying the flag for the United Kingdom.
The top three acts are all nominated 11 times, with Maroon 5 scoring two nods in the prestigious Top Hot 100 Song category - once for 'One More Night', then again for 'Payphone'.
One Direction are nominated eight times, including twice in the Billboard 200 Album category. Carly Rae Jepsen has nine and Rihanna has 10.
Nominations are decided on based on Billboard's music charts from February 27, 2012 to February 24, 2013. It encompasses download sales, radio airplay, and social media hype on Facebook, Twitter, Vevo, YouTube and Spotify.
Tracy Morgan will host the prizegiving ceremony on May 19.
