Taylor Swift: Recalling My Ex-Boyfriends "Makes Me Feel So Bad About Myself"

Ellen DeGeneres loves teasing Taylor Swift about her ex-boyfriends! On The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday, the 22-year-old country singer chats about her new album, Red, which features more breakup hits about her ex-boyfriends. PHOTOS: Taylor Swift's high-profile love life Much to DeGeneres' dismay, Swift vehemently denies she ever dated Zac Efron -- despite the adorable duet they performed together during her last appearance on the show. "There's nothing really about Zac on the CD . . . because we didn't date," the singer said. In order to try and determine who her new song, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," is about, DeGeneres decided to show a slideshow of Swift's rumored exes. She then asked Swift to ring a bell for three pictures, so the audience could narrow down who it is about. "But I don't want to! I don't want to!" Swift shouted. "Because they'll send me angry emails and I don't want to get th...

I love streaming music and Im an avid user of Spotify for this purpose. I was pretty delighted when I saw that Taylor Swifts new album Red was available for listening when I opened up the app. I listened to the whole album, and I gotta tell yaits pretty damn good. But then something happened, it disappeared. And then it came back. Then went away again. Apparently, Taylor Swift doesnt want us listening to her new album on any subscription service, according to Billboard . Heres what Billboard reported on the subject: Red is not likely to be available at subscription services until Swifts next album is released, according to a source familiar with the labels strategy with her previous releases. Instead, the focus for Red is a mountain of retail campaigns and promotions at both well-known CD sellers and non-traditional retailers. Well thats just flat out stupid, Ms. Swift. I know that youre a celebrity-sup! er-star who can sell billions of albums with the flick of a wrist, but you are ...

Taylor Swifts Red Showcases A New Side To The Singer

Image
(Frazer Harrison/Getty Images) Taylor Swift has come a long way since the release of her first single, Tim McGraw, in 2006. Four albums later, the singer strays from her country roots to embrace her pop sensibilities on Red . While the 16-track album at first listen sounds predominately pop, its hidden gems like the stripped down Sad Beautiful Tragic and country tinged album closer Begin Again remind us that the country singer-songwriter is still there. In the albums liner notes, Taylor shows her growth from a fairytale wishing teen to a mature woman. Shes gone through pain and heartache and she lets us know that it will all be unveiled in her latest release. Though Red is without a doubt Taylors most pop album to date, its her ballads that showcase her staying power. The poignant All Too Well impresses with sweeping piano parts and Taylors emotive vocals, while her collaboration on The Last Time with Snow Patrols Gary Lightbody recalls the power of her unexpected partnership with ...

Taylor Swift Calls Red A 'Patchwork Quilt' Of Emotions

Since her 2006 debut, Taylor Swift has shared her most personal secrets and her relationships' ups and downs in her diary-spilling albums every two years. These albums have launched her to the top of the U.S. albums charts, but it was with

Taylor Swift glows on hot 'Red'

The most noteworthy aspect of Taylor Swift's engaging fourth studio album Red (*** out of four), out today, is not that she's ditched her country shadings (save for a mandolin or two) in favor of pure danceable pop. Rather, it's that she continues to write ever-more convincingly -- and wittily and painfully -- about the messy emotions of a young twentysomething nearing the end of her transition from girl to woman. The diary-spilling, guess-my-exes'-names approach employed so successfully on 2010's "Speak Now" works even better in this more contemporary-sounding framework and likely will appeal to an even broader base. The 16 tracks on "Red" (which could easily have been edited to a dozen or so) were recorded with seven sets of producers in several locations, which keeps the sounds fresh and varied. But the standouts are the three glossy tracks from sessions in Stockholm, with Max Martin and Shellback at the helm: monster single "We Are Neve...
