Taylor Swift Is Inspired By More Than Love

Many of Taylor Swifts songs are inspired by love, whether its the early stages of falling for one another or the aftermath of a nasty breakup. But she looks elsewhere, like books and inspirational YouTube videos, to find a creative spark as well.
You hear storytelling like in Harper Lees To Kill a Mockingbird and it makes your mind wander, Taylor said. It makes you feel like it makes your world more vast. And you think about more things and greater concepts after you read something like that.
One of Taylors favorite sources of inspiration are TEDTalks which, according to Wikipedia, are a global set of conferences formed to disseminate ideas worth spreading.
I watch them on YouTube and theyre some of the most inspiring people who give talks on inspiration and shame and vulnerability and all these grand concepts, Taylor said. Sometimes I just go and I watch those speeches because it inspires me that there are people that are that emotionally intelligent.
Taylor will kick off her RED Tour on March 13 with a two night stand in Omaha, Nebraska.
