Taylor Swift Sells Cape Cod Home

Taylor Swift may be breaking up with Cape Cod.

A Hyannisport house that drew national buzz last fall around speculation it had been purchased by the music superstar has sold -- and at a quick $875,000 profit, according to county records.

Ocean Drive LLC, which purchased the seven-bedroom waterfront home at 27 Marchant Ave. in November for $4.8 million, has sold the property for $5.67 million, according to a deed filed Feb. 6 at the Barnstable County Registry of Deeds.

The listed buyer is Cape Beach House LLC, a limited liability company with a listed address at a Boston wealth-management firm, Paul/McCoy Family Office Services LLP.

Cape Beach House registered with the state the same day as the Hyannisport property deed filing, according to the state's corporations division.

Swift, 23, reportedly purchased the property -- next door to the fabled Kennedy family compound -- after she was seen on the Cape last summer with Conor Kennedy, 18. Swift and Kennedy, who have since broken up, according to media reports, were spotted at the time enjoying summer activities such as sailing and volleyball.

"I think it was wonderful while it was happening," Ethel Kennedy said Wednesday, referring to Swift's whirlwind summer visits to Hyannisport.

But she said she didn't want to speculate about why Swift decided to sell her Cape property so quickly.

"I understand she's a very busy lady and wonderfully popular," Kennedy, the wife of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy and Conor's grandmother, said from her Florida home.

Ethel Kennedy, who lives across the street from the Marchant Avenue home, told the Times last fall about Swift: "I am happy that we'll be neighbors. I am thrilled."

Her door is still open should the pop-country songstress want to visit, Kennedy said Wednesday.

"She knows she's always got a place to stay if she ever gets two free minutes," she said.

At 4,440 square feet, the house -- which sits on 1.11 acres along Nantucket Sound -- ! has seven bedrooms, five full bathrooms and a half bath.

Swift's team did do some improvements to the home, which included renovations to the kitchen and bathrooms, Realtor Bob Kinlin told E! News this week.

The home was sold to a couple that had been interested in the house before Swift, Kinlin said.

Ethel Kennedy wouldn't reveal the names of the buyers but said her family already has extended them a welcome on the phone.

"We are looking forward to very nice new neighbors," she said.

So does the matriarch of the legendary family hope to get a visit from Swift this summer in Hyannisport?

"Let's hope so. You bet," she said.
