Taylor Swift auditions for movie version of 'Les Miserables'

Chelsea Lewis

Taylor Swift has auditioned for the extremely popular role of Eponine in Les Miserables. The feature film will be directed by Tom Hooper, who is an Oscar-winning director. Swift has only had one major acting role, a small role in Valentine's Day, but the country music star isn't letting that hold her back. Swift has proven she can act and has an impressive career already but Swift has tough competition for the role.

Celebs Gather reported that Glee star Lea Michele, who was in the Broadway version of Les Miserables, auditioned for the role of Eponine. The New York Post added that two more leading ladies have joined in the fight for the role, Evan Rachel Wood and Scarlett Johansson, recently auditioned for Eponine.

Les Miserables is already stacked with star power, including, Anne Hathaway, Eddie Redmayne, Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, and Geoffrey Rush.

Rumors have been flying about how each of the four young stars would bring a different light to the role and that the casting decision will be hard. Taylor Swift would bring the ability to cross market the film from Hollywood to the pop music circle.

No word yet on when the casting decision will be made or when the movie will be hitting theaters.
