Since splitting with Harry Styles, Taylor Swifts breakover message has been loud and clear: shes single and sexier than ever! Her exs post-split style, however, is a little harder to parse, but being the intrepid style detectives that we are, we decided to try to interpret for him.
While celebrating his 19th birthday Friday, Styles hit the town literally wearing his heart on his sleeve in a Burberry Prorsum button-up. It doesnt quite have the impact of smoky eyes and a miniskirt, but it definitely sends a message: hes ready to get back in the game.
Its a big change from the look Styles sported back in early January, just after the pair went their separate ways. He stopped by a London party dressed a bit like a Beatle, and since Swift is pret! ty vocal about her passion for all things retro, we think he may have been sending her a sweet shout-out.
Just a few weeks later, he was spotted in a shirt emblazoned with the words Teenage Runaway. Swift has a recent track record of dating guys well below her own age, 23, so perhaps he was in the bitter breakup stage and was sending a message about escaping their relationship.
Of course, he could have just been wearing his signature out-there fashion choices, but we kinda prefer to think hes sending veiled messages to his ex through paparazzi photos.
