Taylor Swift Donates 6,000 Books

Country singer and Grammy award winner, Taylor Swift made a generous donation to a library in Reading, PA. Swift donated 6,000 young adult and children books to the local library in Reading with the help of Publisher Scholastic Inc.

Swift and the publisher picked out the 6,000 books that were donated. The Reading Eagle and CNN.com reported that Swift wanted to help economically troubled libraries. Swift originally hails from Pennsylvania and is well known not only for her music but for her philanthropy work as well.

Swift is using her larger than life country super star persona and this donation to motivate kids to be excited read again. When children are looking for the Swift donated books, just look for the white star stickers on each book donated by Swift.

Taylor Swift is currently promoting her Speak Now album on tour all across the United States and abroad.
