Swift sends crash victim a goodie bag

TaylorSwift sent a personalized gift to a young fan who missed out on the country star's concert because of a drunk driver.

The teenager, named Summer, and her mother Michelle were on their way to the Love Story singer's gig at the Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento last September, when their car was struck by a drunk driver and both were hospitalized.

Summer tells a local TV station, "I could see him (the driver) passed out at the wheel, coming closer and hitting us. It was really scary."

Fortunately Summer and her mum escaped with only minor injuries, but they missed the gig.

Now, police officer Mike Lowry, who arrived at the scene of the crash, has now helped to make the teen's dreams come true by reaching out to Swift's camp and asking if they could help him make the young fan's year.

The Grammy Award winner has since learned about the tragedy and she has sent Summer a basket of autographed tour items, while promising to hand over VIP tickets when she next performs in California.

Swift has always been devoted to her followers. She offered to take cancer patient Kevin McGuire to the Academy of Country Music Awards as her date last month, but he was too sick to attend.
