Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift recently hit the studio with English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran to collaborate on new material that could potentially appear on the follow-up to Speak Now.

Known in the UK for his successful debut album + (as well as his interesting new goat tattoo), the two-time Brit Award winner has collaborated on tracks for One Direction in addition to writing his own solo material. The two announced their collaboration earlier this month via Twitter, after Swift approached Sheeran to work on her new album.

Swift, as a source told The Sun, is "into her British music and became a massive fan of Edthere is a mutual affection between the pair." The partnership with megastar Swift will surely garner more attention for Sheerans music on this side of the Atlantic, not to mention the added financial bonuscredit on an album track could earn him as much as 200,000.

For the time being, however, both seem to be focused on enjoying the artistic collaboration, with Swift tweeting, "Eating cheeseburgers, scribbling on guitars, writing songs with @edsheeran. : )." Sheeran confirmed this moments later with the equally upbeat reply "In and out burger, defacing guitars and writing music with @taylorswift13 : )"

Hopefully, the smiley faces indicate that we can expect some pretty incredible songs from the duo in the near f! uture.
