Because those lashes came from a computer , not from the Natureluxe Mousse Mascara. It even says so in mice type at the bottom of the ad: "Lashes enhanced in post-production." So it's not like Cover Girl was being dishonest. But still, the National Advertising Division of the Better Business Bureau took notice, and Procter & Gamble (the makers of Cover Girl) has since stopped running the ad.
