Taylor Swift entertains beauty team

Taylor Swift loves entertaining the crew when shes sitting in the make-up chair. The country musicians signature feminine look is created by make-up artist Lorrie Turk. The beauty pro says Taylor loves to amuse those around her, even when shes preparing for a red carpet event. Whenever I'm doing her make-up, Taylor always seems to be the one entertaining the crew. Whether she's cracking jokes or just having a regular conversation with me she is by far one of the funniest people I have ever known!" she told InStyle. "Taylor always comes prepared with a playlist, so when she's in the make-up chair, we're all listening to the music she's loving at the time. Lorrie puts careful consideration into Taylors beauty look before an event. She liaises with the stunning stars styling team to create the most appropriate look. "A few days before a big event, I'll ask Taylor's stylist Joseph Cassell for a photo of the dress she plans to wear," she expla

Taylor Swift fancies a musical change

Taylor Swift wants to change her style over the next couple of years. The 'Love Story' hitmaker is keen to 'do things a little differently' and experiment musically, but she wants to continue writing her own songs. She told Access Hollywood: 'I think my goal for the next couple of years would be to make departures in little ways and do things a little differently. And to try to maintain a balance between always providing your fans with what they've always liked from you and continuing to write all my own songs.' One of the ways the blonde beauty is looking to experiment musically next year is to collaborate with stars that her fans are not necessarily expecting to hear. She added: 'I'd love to make collaborations in different directions that aren't exactly expected.' Earlier this year, the 22-year-old beauty penned a song with Justin Bieber and the pair took to the stage to perform the 'Never Say Never' singer's hit 'Baby'

Listen to Taylor Swift's 'Hunger Games' song

Frazer Harrison / Getty Images Taylor Swift sings the lead song from "The Hunger Games" soundtrack. By Gael Fashingbauer Cooper Country superstar Taylor Swift and long-anticipated movie "The Hunger Games" seem like an ideal combination. Both have zillions of young fans who can't wait for the latest news about them. Just before Christmas, Swift teased on her Twitter account that "something I've been VERY excited about for a VERY long time is going to be happening VERY soon" and then tweeted a link to the song, "Safe & Sound," the lead song from the upcoming "Hunger Games" film. Swift performs the song with Grammy-winning duo The Civil Wars on acoustic guitar and backup vocals. It will be included on the film's soundtrack album, which also includes songs by Arcade Fire and The Decemerists. The song quickly moved to the top of the iTunes Songs chart, boosted no doubt by Swift's 10 million Twitter followers. The lyrics

Taylor Swift's 'Hunger Games' song, and an upset union

This post has been corrected. See the note below for details. Taylor Swift is excited about her new release for "The Hunger Games" movie, but it seems someone is playing a few dissonant notes. The pop-country singer-songwriter revealed on her Twitter page last week that "Safe & Sound," a new song featuring the group the Civil Wars, will be included in "The Hunger Games." But it seems that an American Federation of Musicians honcho, while not singling out Swift, had a bone to pick with the film's producers. Ray Hair, international president of the union, took to YouTube to express his disappointment that Lionsgate chose to record music for the film in London instead of employing musicians in the U.S. under AFM contracts. Celebrity Column: Taylor Swift joins Civil Wars for 'Hunger Games' song

When we spoke with her in October, Joy Williams of the Civil Wars couldnt give us details on the song the Nashville duo and producer T Bone Burnett had cooked up for a major motion picture. But now the secrets out, and it turns out that a third party was involved, too: Taylor Swift . The country-pop superstar and rising folk/pop duo teamed to record Safe & Sound for the highly anticipated Hunger Games film, set to hit theaters in March. Swift tweeted the news to her followers late last week. Musically speaking, the songs a pretty successful marriage of styles the Wars melancholy folk matched with a gentle melody thats undeniably Swifts (and at points gives us flashbacks of her Enchanted and Speak Now.) Taylor Swift released new single Safe and Sound

Chelsea Lewis Taylor Swift is known for her amazing pop country singles and loveable personality but Swift is now branching out musically with her latest single, Safe and Sound. Safe and Sound, will be featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming film, the Hunger Games . The soundtrack will also feature music from artists like the Decemberists and Arcade Fire. Swift collaborates with The Civil Wars and captures the emotion that is displayed in the film and on the pages of the Hunger Games novels in her single. The single is slower paced and simple. Swifts lyrics and vocal performance is haunting and beautiful at the same time. Swift takes the fear that is found in the Hunger Games novels and the film and translates that fear into a motivational and inspirational single. Swift controls her vocal range with this single while pushing her lyrical writing. The Civil War compliments Swifts vocals and provides a contrast to her soft voice. The contrast that is shown in the single parallels t

Image Credit: Larry Busacca/Getty Images Though were still a few months away from the films premiere, can we all agree that 2012 is going to be the year of The Hunger Games ? The much-buzzed-about adaptation of the hit young adult book series promises to turn a handful of stars into true A-listers (including star Jennifer Lawrence) and also seems ready to fill the young-people-overcoming-the-odds-in-a-fantasy-world void left by the lack of a new Harry Potter movie. Long story short, this thing is going to be bonkers. Like any huge tentpole movie, it has to have a big soundtrack as accompaniment. Last week, Taylor Swift unveiled the albums first single Safe and Sound, a collaboration with the Civil Wars. Over the weekend, the remainder of the lineup got fleshed out a bit, with Universal announcing that the disc will also include contributions from the Decemberists and Win Butler & Regine Chassagne of Arcade Fire. Taylor Swift 'Ours' Music Video Review

Chelsea Lewis It is hard to picture Taylor Swift not looking like her dazzling self, but in the new music video for Ours, the singer looks like a normal young adult. Audiences are used to seeing Swift look like the country music superstar she is but in the video Swift changes her appearance in order to match the music video storyline. Swift opens the video with herself heading to a normal 9-5 job. She enters into a crowded elevator and starts to sing. Swift is known for her ability to tell a story in her music videos and Ours, sticks to that template. The audience sees clips of the love Taylor Swift is talking about. The lighting is romantic and the chemistry on screen can easily be seen between Swift and the mystery man. The video follows Swift during her day at the office where nothing seems to go right but throughout the video Swift is reminded of her one true love.
