Swift Explains Awards Show to Her Cat

(EndPlay Staff Reports) - Singer Taylor Swift is getting a little feline help as she competes for this year's Academy of Country Music Awards.
Swift, up for Entertainer of the Year, shot a YouTube video that she tweeted explaining the ACM awards to her newly adopted kitten Meredith.
"This is coming up on an amazing thing that happens once a year," she tells her cat, who manages to meow on cue as if she's following every word.
She goes on to tell Meredith how fans can vote once a day for their pick to win until the show.
"So, like, do you think people should go and vote for us maybe?" Swift asks Meredith. "That would be really cool, right? That would be awesome."
The Academy of Country Music Awards will be presented on April 1 on CBS. E! Online reported that Swift's also up for female vocalist of the year and video of the year.
The video appears on Swift's official YouTube channel, which has a link to where people can vote .
Choices include Swift, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton.
As far as Meredith, according to the MTV Newsroom , she's named after the lead character Meredith Grey on "Grey's Anatomy."
