Taylor Swift - Swift Receives Signed The Hunger Games Book From Author

Singer Taylor Swift has received a signed copy of the The Hunger Games novel from author Suzanne Collins as a thank you gift for contributing two songs to the movie's highly successful soundtrack.

The Love Story hitmaker is a big fan of the post-apocalyptic book series, so when she heard the trilogy was to be adapted for the big screen, Swift jumped at the chance to compose a tune for the movie.

The country star, who collaborated with The Civil Wars on Safe & Sound, also penned Eyes Open for the film and she released the two songs earlier this month (Mar12).

And now The Hunger Games creator Collins has reached out to Swift to thank her for her hard work by sending her an autographed copy of the first novel, with a personal message which reads, "For Taylor, with much thanks for your beautiful songs. Let the Games begin! Love, Suzanne Collins."

A thrilled Swift posted a photo of the inscribed page on her Instagram account and tweeted, "This just came in the mail. (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)"

The Hunger Games soundtrack debuted at the top of the U.S. billboard album charts this week (begs26Mar12).
