Taylor Swift has said that she feels "lucky" to be featured on The Hunger Games' soundtrack.

The singer - who was recently reported to have earned $35.7 million (22.2 million) in the last year - contributed 'Safe & Sound' and 'Eyes Open' to the highly-anticipated film's soundtrack. While performing in Auckland, Swift debuted the second song.

"I was lucky enough to have two songs on that soundtrack, so I'm really excited about that," she told the New Zealand crowd.

Swift previously debuted the video for 'Safe & Sound', which features Nashville duo The Civil Wars.

The Hunger Games, which stars Jennifer Lawrence, will be released in cinemas worldwide on March 23.

Arcade Fire, The Decemberists, Miranda Lambert and The Low Anthem are also among the artists who will feature on the movie's 'companion album' Songs From District 12 and Beyond.
