Taylor Swift nabbed the top spot on Billboard Magazines Money Makers List, which was released on Friday.

The singer made a whopping $35,719,902 in 2011, from a combination of the album sales and the tour that stemmed from her late-2010 release of Speak Now, as well as songwriting royalties and endorsement contracts with companies such as Covergirl.

The 22-year-old singer was number one on a list that included veterans such as U2 and Bon Jovi.

The top 10 Money Makers were:

1. Taylor Swift US$35.7 million
2. U2 - US$32.1 million
3. Kenny Chesney - US$29.8 million
4. Lady Gaga - US$25.4 million
5. Lil Wayne - US$23.2 million
6. Bon Jovi - US$19.8 million
7. Sade - US$16.4 million
8. Cline Dion - US$14.3 million
9. Jason Aldean - US$13.4 million

Other notable artists that made the list were Kanye West (#39), Justin Beiber (#35), Rihanna (#22) and Katy Perry (#11).

According to Stuff.co.nz, the list was compiled by looking at total concert gross revenues, radio airplay and play on online music streaming sites, and album and single sale figures.

At $88.5 million in the U.S. alone, Swifts Speak Now tour was one of the highest-grossing of the year, from which she netted $29.8 million. Her album sold 1.8 million copies last year, and she wrote all 14 songs on the album, giving her all the songwriting royalties from it.
