Did The Kennedy family orchestrate Taylor Swift's split from Conor Kennedy? A new report has claimed the powerful family were not happy about the romance and pressurised the couple to split.

While sources claim the couple split due to long distance, Kennedy insiders reportedly told The Sun the family were against the relationship were concerned about the six year age gap and feared the 18 year-old becoming a pop star's arm candy.

The Kennedys have been against the relationship from the very start, the insider revealed.

They werent happy about the age gap or the attention it put on Conor at such a young age.

Taylor has spoken recently about her inability to understand love and has admitted she falls in love too fast, something the Kennedy's reportedly weren't comfortable with.

Taylor has a habit of being a bit full-on too, the source explained, she falls very hard, very fast and it freaked them out a bit.

It seems though Conor's education, who is still in high school, was the deciding factor in the split, with the Kennedys, who are one of the most powerful families in the US not happy about the teen becoming just a hanger-on.

The insider explained: most importantly, they were worried about it affecting Conors studies. They want him to have a successful and fulfilling life, not be known as a pop stars arm candy.

The family have seen off bigger fish than Taylor and they appear to have won this battle too.

The couple got together in July this year and while there were mixed reports about the famous political family's feelings about the 'Love Story' singer dating the youngester, in public they were supportive of the romance with family matriarch telling People magazine, Taylor is sensational inside and out.
