Taylor Swift Performs 'Never Ever' at the 2012 MTV VMAs

Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" topped the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks, before even performing the song on television. The 22-year-old singer-songwriter made the live TV debut of her hit single Thursday night (Sept. 6) at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.

The performance, essentially a live version of the track's music video, featured band members dancing on stage in furry animal costumes and Swift swinging her blonde ponytail from left to right, singing about the boy she is "never ever ever" going to date again.

Dressed in the theme of her upcoming album, "Red," due Oct. 22, Swift danced around the stage in a red-and-white striped sweater, classic black shorts and bright red sneakers. She looked casual and cool, throwing on a pair of black sunglasses and trying to show the world that even sweet T-Swift has attitude.
