The two promoted The Lorax at the film's premiere this weekend and were sure to embrace and stir up some relationship rumors while they were at it. It makes for good press.

The two embraced on the red carpet and Efron planted what looked like a friendly peck on the singer's neck when they first ran into each other. It definitely wasn't scandalous or what you could really even classify as PDA, but it did draw attention to the pair.

Even though a picture's worth 1,000 words, the country cutie and former High School Musical actor denied the romance rumors on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Monday. Hes awesome, we are not a couple though, the singer said. You hear people get together when theyre shooting movies, co-stars. But not like animated co-stars. You know what Im saying.

Actually, Efron is reportedly dating Lily Collins, who used to date Swift's ex Taylor Lautner. So, it's more likely that the Lorax co-stars are trading stories about Lautner than anything.
